As <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boston.com\/news\/globe\/city_region\/breaking_news\/2007\/04\/fired_professor.html\">he relates the story<\/a>, he &#8220;opened the discussion by summarizing nonviolent philosophies before holding up a marker and asking the class to acknowledge that it was not a weapon.&#8221;  \u00c2\u00a0 Nicholas Winset  went on to re-enact part of the shooting, using his marker to &#8216;shoot&#8217; people.<\/p>\n<p>The result?  <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bostonherald.com\/localRegional\/view.bg?articleid=195909\">He got fired<\/a>. I&#8217;ll be the first one to say that Emmanuel College can fire whomever it wants to.
