{"id":41,"date":"2006-10-05T21:29:14","date_gmt":"2006-10-06T01:29:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dandunn.org\/blog\/archives\/41"},"modified":"2006-10-05T21:29:14","modified_gmt":"2006-10-06T01:29:14","slug":"thou-shalt-not-speak-ill-of-a-fellow-taxcutter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dandunn.org\/blog\/2006\/10\/thou-shalt-not-speak-ill-of-a-fellow-taxcutter\/","title":{"rendered":"Thou Shalt Not Speak Ill of a Fellow Taxcutter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barbara Anderson (of the <a title=\"CLT\" href=\"http:\/\/cltg.org\/\">Citizens for Limited Taxation<\/a>) is not a Republican, and neither is <a title=\"Mihos for Governor site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.christy2006.com\/\">Christy Mihos<\/a>.  They are both unenrolled voters.  And, they share a dislike of higher taxes.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, despite their shared beleifs, Barbara Anderson has launched several attacks on Christy Mihos.  Since the state primary CLT has written four Mihos attack pieces, but only <a href=\"http:\/\/cltg.org\/cltg\/clt2006\/06-09-20_nr.htm\">one<\/a> against <a title=\"Deval Patrick campaign site\" href=\"http:\/\/www.devalpatrick.com\/\">Deval Patrick<\/a>. Anderson thinks that Mihos is a threat to<a title=\"Kerry Healey\" href=\"http:\/\/www.healeycommittee.com\/\"> Kerry Healey<\/a> and thinks that Healey is the one that should win the governor&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikiquote.org\/wiki\/Ronald_Reagan\">Ronald Reagan wrote<\/a> the 11th Commandment: &#8220;Thou shalt not speak ill of another Republican.&#8221;  He was right, as far as he went, but he should have gone farther.  I&#8217;m not bold enough to write a commandment, but I&#8217;m willing to suggest a corollary: &#8220;Thou shalt not speak ill of another taxcutter.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I believe that Anderson is doing herself and her cause a disservice.  Her attacks on Mihos weaken her own positions by proxy.  I hope she returns to doing what she does well: advocating for a smaller government.<\/p>\n<p>(I&#8217;m fully aware that this post runs the risk of violating my own advice.  The thing is, I often agree with CLT and have supported them in the past.
